I can’t hardly believe we’ve been in school for five weeks! My kids are an amazing bunch I’m looking forward to a wonderful school year with them 🙂
Are you ready for the picture overload? A HUGE thank you to my talented twin sister for the awesome pics! It’s pretty beneficial to have a sister who’s a professional photographer HA!
I will provide a brief description for each picture and tell you where I purchased the items on TPT, most of them are in my store, Figs Firsties!
This year I decided to do away with the usual school box. I bought these little baskets at the Dollar Tree for 2 for a $1.00, I tied them up with zip ties so they don’t move them around. So far I love them! I don’t get interrupted by all that noise school boxes make ha! My theme this year is zebra print and hot pink so I created the name tags and table numbers. LOVE the pop of pink 🙂
This is my calendar area/special signs. It’s a work in progress, I didn’t finish all the little projects I had planned for this, but it’ll get done! Eventually…
I wanted to incorporate the zebra print as much as possible, I couldn’t replace all my pocket charts for black so I decided to accent them with zebra print borders. I think they turned out so cute! I don’t know why I hadn’t thought of this before!
I love love love my alphabet wall! It took me forever to hang it up and it wasn’t easy at all! But looking at these pics make it all worth it 🙂 and again accented the alphabet with a zebra border.

My objectives board turned out too adorable, the pink duck tape ties in perfectly with the whole board. I also placed the classroom rules and the clip chart next to it, I figured since I spend most of the time teaching by the white board it’d be a good place to have them there to remind students about the classroom expectations throughout the day.

Each student has a book bin, whenever they’re done early with their work they can get their bins and work on their fluency. Inside the folders are fluency passages, sight word practice, and leveled readers.
I don’t have desks so I use the colored bins as their cubbies.
This is by far the best thing I incorporated this year 🙂 My kids and I love it!
Bilingual and Spanish Hand Signals
These are my little DYI projects 🙂 I made the crate seats to match my classroom theme. If you want to learn how to make them check out my step by step tutorial on my blog.
I also used contact paper to cover up some table surfaces, book shelves, and file cabinet. It was so easy and the end result is incredible. if you want to learn how to do this little project check out my tutorial, also on my blog 🙂
We love our writing center 🙂

This is probably my favorite wall in my classroom! It includes the Reading Focus Wall, Class Schedule, Grammar Wall, and Writing Center. The READ letters are perfect, I bought them at Joann’s.

I’m loving the number labels I used for our classroom library and literacy station bins. Gotta love the Dollar tree for all these awesome baskets and bins!
This year I actually took out all the math manipulatives from my cabinets and organized them all in bins. It has made a world of a difference, whenever the kids need them for math they know exactly where they are 🙂
Last but not least, my desk area 🙂
Thank you for stopping by.
I love the zebra print with pops of hot pink! You even write in black and pink! You have some fortunate children in your room 🙂
