When Im done chart has been a game changer in my classroom. I started using this chart a couple of years ago and my student’s ongoing questions and distractions completely stopped. When students are done with their work they just look at the chart, pick something to do, and stay busy. This has made me one happy teacher, there’s nothing like keeping the kids on task and busy all day . Below you will see how I use this when Im done chart in my classroom. I hope this is as helpful to you as it has been to me!
Book Bins:
Each student has a book bin with books at their level, color chart, whiteboard and whiteboard marker, folder with fluency passages, and spelling words. Some of the when Im done activities students may work on after they’re done with their work is practice their reading fluency or spelling words on a white board.

Number Words/Color Words Practice:
This is another of the When Im done activities students can choose from, also located in their folder. They may practice their color words, shapes, and their number words. They love their little chart. I love how creative they get writing their colors and number words. This little one drew objects to represent each number! Learning doesn’t stop even after their done with their class work 🙂 Find the link to this chart below 🙂
Clean Up:
This one is my FAVORITE, and the kids really enjoy cleaning up their area. It keeps them accountable for having their area nice, neat, and organized!
Blooming Blossoming Flower chart:
This is how I’m displaying my chart this year, using my new color scheme and decor 🙂
